1839 Coronet Head Large Cent, Silly Head, N-9, PCGS MS65BN CAC, very choice.

Ex New England Rare Coin Auctions 3/1977, lot 625 – John J. Nicholas, Jr., Superior 2/1992, lot 621 – R.E. Naftzger, Jr. (who graded it MS67) – Jack Wadlington, Stack’s Bowers 7/2015, lot 2323 - Robert Kellert.

An absolutely gorgeous Silly Head. Steel blue and sea green surfaces that are aglow with cartwheel luster. Both sides essentially pristine and have no marks or flaws to report. Fairly late die state with moderately flowlined fields and 4 rim breaks around the obverse. EAC 63.
