1831 Coronet Head Large Cent, Large Letters, N-6, PCGS MS64BN CAC, very choice.

Ex Ray Chatham 1977 – Robinson S. Brown, Jr., Superior 9/30/1986, lot 703 – Richard Young, Stack’s Bowers 11/2011, lot 288 – Manual Ahumada, Goldberg’s 6/2017, lot 117 (where certified PCGS MS65BN and that label is included) - Robert Kellert.

A gorgeous large cent with full booming luster, impeccable surface preservation and outstanding eye appeal. Plated in Wright to illustrate the variety. Steely deep chocolate brown in color, the surfaces on both sides fully retaining their fresh, frosty texture.  No mint red, but the strong cartwheel luster illumines golden tan iridescence where the patina has just barely set in. Boldly struck from an intermediate state of the dies showing fine clashmarks on both sides. An outstanding example sure to delight its next custodian. EAC 62.
