1787 Vermont Copper, Bust Right, Ryder 12, struck over 1785 Nova Constellatio, choice VF-XF.

Ex Scott Barnes, 1996 C4 Sale, lot 453 - Tony Terranova - Jack Wadlington - Tony Terranova.

138.0 grains. A beautiful coin with perfect light brown surfaces. No marks or flaws and the detail is well struck and nicely centered. A 1785 Nova Constellatio was used as the planchet for this Vermont and bold undertype shows at the centers of each side. Late obverse die state with a strong crack from the hair ribbons through the E of VERMONT. Wonderful quality overall and it would be hard to picture a more appealing example for the grade.
